Real parts from cars scrapped with us

This is why we pay more than scrap

Our yards are dismantlers. The good parts from the cars we collect are graded and resold on PartPro, our parts marketplace. Because those parts have value, so does your car, and we pay you for it.

1You scrap your car with us
2Our dismantlers grade the parts
3They are sold on PartPro, so you get paid more

No other scrap car site can show you this. These are live listings from our dismantlers, updated every few hours. Your car could be next, and you get paid for it.

FAIL
MOT failures

Failed its MOT? Do the sum before the garage does it for you.

Check your MOT history for free to see every failure and advisory, and find used parts to fix them.

If the repair bill is more than half of what the car would fetch once fixed, you’re paying to own the same old car. Get our price as it sits, then decide. No MOT needed to sell.

The two-minute sum (example)
Repair quote: £900
Value once fixed: £1,500
Repair is more than half its value, so selling as it sits usually wins.
Salvage

Damaged, written off or newer? It may be worth salvage money, not scrap.

Scrap my car: questions

How much will I get to scrap my car?
It depends on the car’s weight and which parts can be reused. In the last 12 months we paid an average of £176, and up to £5,380 for the best. Newer or damaged cars are often worth £800 to £4,000+ for their parts. Enter your reg and postcode for your exact price, or see scrap car prices by make.
Where is the best place to scrap my car?
Wherever pays the most with the least hassle. Our buyers are dismantlers, so your car is priced on its parts as well as its weight, collection is free and you are paid the same day. You never have to drive a car that may not be roadworthy to a scrap yard yourself.
Is there a scrap yard or car breakers near me?
You do not need to find one. Our yards are dismantlers, also known as car breakers, and we collect free from anywhere in the UK. Find your area to see local prices.
Will I get paid for scrapping my car?
Yes. Unless the car is missing major parts, you will be paid, and the price is agreed before we collect. Payment is by bank transfer on the day of collection. By law scrap cars cannot be paid for in cash.
How do I scrap my car?
Enter your reg and postcode, pick a collection day, and the driver collects the car. You are paid the same day, we tell the DVLA for you, and you get a Certificate of Destruction within 7 days. Read our step-by-step guide.
Is collection free?
Yes. Collection is free anywhere in the UK, whether the car runs or not.
Can I scrap my car without a V5C logbook?
Yes. Just tell us when you book. Our team can produce your Certificate of Destruction without a replacement logbook, so you do not need to pay £25 for a new one. A missing V5C rarely changes your price. See our V5C logbook guide.
Can I sell my car or van instead of scrapping it?
Yes. If your car or van is newer or damaged, it is priced on its parts, which is usually worth far more than scrap. See sell my car and scrap my van.
How do I scrap my van?
The same way as a car: get a price with your reg and postcode, book a collection day and get paid by bank transfer when we collect. Vans are heavier, so they often get more.
How do I get the most when scrapping my car?
Keep the car complete, including the wheels, battery and catalytic converter, give accurate details for your quote, and get a price before paying for a big repair. If the car is newer or damaged, it may be worth salvage money rather than scrap.
Who tells the DVLA?
We do. You get a Certificate of Destruction, the official proof the car has gone, and any road tax you have paid is refunded automatically.
Is my car scrap or salvage?
Newer cars, or older ones with a good engine, gearbox or body, are usually salvage and paid on their parts. Your quote shows you the higher figure.
