How much is my Chrysler worth for scrap?
A Chrysler PT Cruiser is typically worth £180 to £280 for scrap. A Chrysler Ypsilon / Delta is typically worth £130 to £210 for scrap. A Chrysler 300C is typically worth £230 to £400 for scrap. Newer or damaged Chryslers are often worth more for their parts, from £800 to £4,000+. Your price is based on the car itself, not just its weight, and a Chrysler that does not run or has failed its MOT is still bought.
Chrysler stopped selling cars in the UK in 2017, so used parts are in demand from owners keeping theirs on the road.

Why do Chrysler owners scrap their cars?
Suspension and steering wear
The PT Cruiser is known for front suspension and steering wear that fails MOTs.
Diesel engine faults
The 3.0 diesel in the 300C and the diesels in the Grand Voyager can suffer costly injector and engine problems.
Electrical faults
Electric doors, windows and warning lights are common complaints on the Grand Voyager.
Rust
Older PT Cruisers and Voyagers can rust underneath.
Should you scrap your Chrysler or sell it?
| Your Chrysler | Best option |
|---|---|
| Running, with a long MOT and no big faults | Selling it privately or part-exchanging it may get you more |
| Failed its MOT, or needs a repair that costs more than it is worth | Scrap it with us: free collection and same-day payment |
| Newer, or damaged in an accident, flood or fire | Sell it to us for salvage: the parts are worth far more than scrap |
| Not running, or off the road with a SORN | Scrap it with us: we collect it as it is |
Scrap or salvage?
Scrap means the car is too old or worn to be worth repairing, so it is taken apart, the reusable parts are sold and the rest is recycled. Salvage means the car still has valuable parts, or could be repaired, so it is worth more. Your quote tells you which applies to your Chrysler and shows you the higher figure.
Is there a Chrysler scrappage scheme?
We are not aware of a Chrysler scrappage scheme running at the moment. Manufacturers and dealers sometimes run part-exchange offers on new cars, so it is worth asking your local dealer. If there is no offer, or you are not buying new, scrapping your Chrysler with us usually gets you the most for it.

What you need to know before you scrap your Chrysler
Every scrap car has to go to a licensed scrap yard. Our yards are dismantlers, licensed by the Environment Agency or its equivalent, so your Chrysler is dealt with legally and the parts that can be reused are put to use. By law, scrap cars cannot be paid for in cash, so you are paid by bank transfer the same day.
Have your keys, your logbook (V5C) and photo ID ready when the driver arrives. We tell the DVLA the car has been scrapped, and within 7 days you get a Certificate of Destruction, the official proof it has gone. Any road tax you have paid is refunded automatically.
Chrysler scrap questions
How much is my Chrysler worth for scrap?
Most Chryslers we buy are worth between £130 and £400 for scrap, depending on the model and its condition. Newer or damaged Chryslers can be worth £800 to £4,000+ for their parts. Enter your reg and postcode for your exact price.
Will you buy a Chrysler that does not run or has failed its MOT?
Yes. We buy every Chrysler as it is, whether it runs or not, has failed its MOT or has been off the road with a SORN. Collection is free.
Do you buy Chryslers with faults like suspension and steering wear?
Yes. The PT Cruiser is known for front suspension and steering wear that fails MOTs. We price your Chrysler on its parts and weight, so a big repair bill does not stop us buying it.
Is there a Chrysler scrappage scheme?
We are not aware of one running at the moment. Dealers sometimes run part-exchange offers on new cars, so it is worth asking. If you are not buying new, scrapping with us usually gets you the most for your Chrysler.
Is my Chrysler worth more for parts than scrap?
Often, yes, if it is newer or has been damaged. Your quote already takes this into account, so you will see the higher figure.
Can I scrap my Chrysler without the logbook (V5C)?
Yes. Have photo ID and proof of address ready instead, and we will tell the DVLA for you. It does not change your price.
How will I be paid for my Chrysler?
By bank transfer, the same day it is collected. By law scrap cars cannot be paid for in cash, so be wary of anyone who offers it.
What happens to my Chrysler after it is collected?
Our yards are dismantlers, so the parts that can be reused are sold and the rest is recycled. We tell the DVLA for you and you get a Certificate of Destruction, the official proof the car has gone, within 7 days.
