What it’s worth

How much is my Iveco worth for scrap?

An Iveco Daily (3.5 tonne) is typically worth £230 to £450 for scrap. An Iveco Daily (heavier versions) is typically worth £230 to £450 for scrap. An Iveco Daily minibus / camper is typically worth £230 to £450 for scrap. Newer or damaged Iveco vans are often worth more for their parts, from £800 to £4,000+. Your price is based on the car itself, not just its weight, and an Iveco that does not run or has failed its MOT is still bought.

The Iveco Daily is built on a strong chassis and is heavier than most vans, so it usually scraps at the top of our van price range. Heavier versions are worth more again.

Common problems

Why do Iveco owners scrap their cars?

Chassis and body rust

Older Dailys can rust on the chassis and cab, a common MOT failure.

Clutch and flywheel wear

Heavy loads and high mileage wear out the clutch and flywheel, which is a big job on a Daily.

Engine and turbo faults

High-mileage engines can suffer injector, turbo and timing problems.

Your options

Should you scrap your Iveco or sell it?

Your IvecoBest option
Running, with a long MOT and no big faultsSelling it privately or part-exchanging it may get you more
Failed its MOT, or needs a repair that costs more than it is worthScrap it with us: free collection and same-day payment
Newer, or damaged in an accident, flood or fireSell it to us for salvage: the parts are worth far more than scrap
Not running, or off the road with a SORNScrap it with us: we collect it as it is

Scrap or salvage?

Scrap means the car is too old or worn to be worth repairing, so it is taken apart, the reusable parts are sold and the rest is recycled. Salvage means the car still has valuable parts, or could be repaired, so it is worth more. Your quote tells you which applies to your Iveco and shows you the higher figure.

Scrappage schemes

Is there a Iveco scrappage scheme?

We are not aware of an Iveco scrappage scheme running at the moment. Manufacturers and dealers sometimes run part-exchange offers on new cars, so it is worth asking your local dealer. If there is no offer, or you are not buying new, scrapping your Iveco with us usually gets you the most for it.

The rules

What you need to know before you scrap your Iveco

Every scrap car has to go to a licensed scrap yard. Our yards are dismantlers, licensed by the Environment Agency or its equivalent, so your Iveco is dealt with legally and the parts that can be reused are put to use. By law, scrap cars cannot be paid for in cash, so you are paid by bank transfer the same day.

Have your keys, your logbook (V5C) and photo ID ready when the driver arrives. We tell the DVLA the car has been scrapped, and within 7 days you get a Certificate of Destruction, the official proof it has gone. Any road tax you have paid is refunded automatically.

Iveco scrap questions

How much is my Iveco worth for scrap?

Most Iveco vans we buy are worth between £230 and £450 for scrap, depending on the model and its condition. Newer or damaged Iveco vans can be worth £800 to £4,000+ for their parts. Enter your reg and postcode for your exact price.

Will you buy an Iveco that does not run or has failed its MOT?

Yes. We buy every Iveco as it is, whether it runs or not, has failed its MOT or has been off the road with a SORN. Collection is free.

Do you buy Iveco vans with faults like chassis and body rust?

Yes. Older Dailys can rust on the chassis and cab, a common MOT failure. We price your Iveco on its parts and weight, so a big repair bill does not stop us buying it.

Is there an Iveco scrappage scheme?

We are not aware of one running at the moment. Dealers sometimes run part-exchange offers on new cars, so it is worth asking. If you are not buying new, scrapping with us usually gets you the most for your Iveco.

Is my Iveco worth more for parts than scrap?

Often, yes, if it is newer or has been damaged. Your quote already takes this into account, so you will see the higher figure.

Can I scrap my Iveco without the logbook (V5C)?

Yes. Have photo ID and proof of address ready instead, and we will tell the DVLA for you. It does not change your price.

How will I be paid for my Iveco?

By bank transfer, the same day it is collected. By law scrap cars cannot be paid for in cash, so be wary of anyone who offers it.

What happens to my Iveco after it is collected?

Our yards are dismantlers, so the parts that can be reused are sold and the rest is recycled. We tell the DVLA for you and you get a Certificate of Destruction, the official proof the car has gone, within 7 days.
